Description

​

A piece which depicts a sunrise with references to a Woodlark and a Nightjar as found in Messiaen's Réveil des oiseaux (1953) for piano and orchestra. Written for Robin Meiksins for a premiere at the 9th SPLICE Institute, in summer of 2023, with travel funding from the Society of Composers Authors and Music Publishers in Canada.
